Psychological Testing Team
Mary Rizzo, Psy.D., Psychological Testing Director
I feel incredibly honored and fortunate to be the Testing Director at PGA. For the past 5 years, I have conducted psychological testing across the lifespan to help guide individuals in their mental health journey. Testing is a wonderful tool to learn and understand a snapshot of how an individual may be struggling in their everyday life and be provided ways to function to their fullest potential. I currently work with individuals from 6 years old and up that present with a variety of concerns such as academic troubles, interpersonal issues, elevated levels of trauma, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, and mood disorders to name a few. My goal is to attain a holistic and comprehensive understanding of an individual's functioning and provide effective tools to thrive across areas of one's life such as work, school, relationships, and self.
Justin Chu, Psy.D., Post-doctoral Resident
I enjoy conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. I have supported clients in better understanding themselves while identifying their unique areas of challenge and growth. I also provide individualized treatment recommendations for multiple areas of life (e.g. home, school/work, therapy) in order to help clients channel their curiosities into meaningful healing and strength-building. I emphasize a holistic approach to assessment and conceptualization that draws from a variety of disciplines and views the client as a unique individual with their own history, identity, experiences, and values. My approach to assessment mirrors the way I navigate psychotherapy, which integrates genuineness, empathy, validation, humor, and unconditional acceptance. My areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety/depression, adjustment challenges, anger/oppositionality, personality styles, mood disorders, and trauma.
Claudia Ramirez, Psyd.D., Post-doctoral Resident
Learning more about ourselves, including our struggles or challenges, can be very daunting, whether it is for ourselves or our loved ones. That is why one of my main priorities is to foster a warm, compassionate, and genuine space while we work together throughout the testing process. I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan to provide a thorough picture of overall functioning. My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma and learning challenges. We can also identify treatment recommendations that will fit your particular needs, history, and values. I enjoy guiding clients through various life circumstances i.e., a new academic or professional endeavor, or feeling stuck in therapy. I am also trained to provide these services both in English and Spanish.
Rhiannon Seward, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist
I specialize in testing and evaluation of concerns related to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, mood and bipolar disorder. I specifically work with clients 15 years of age or older. I particularly enjoy working with clients who feel "stuck" in therapy and need additional assistance in navigating current symptoms. I enjoy helping couples through the testing process and understand how ADHD and other diagnoses can affect relationships by providing recommendations to overcome challenges and build a strong partnership.
Megan Stranski, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist
I have a passion for working with clients to help identify concerns they are experiencing in their lives and and providing individual treatment plans to address those problems. I am a strong believer that the client is an expert on themselves and I am knowledeable in diagnostic clarification, so together we can identify and address any concerns they may be experiencing. I provide testing services for clients 14 years of age and older. I have experience in testing for ADHD, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauama, and other concerns that may not fit with traditional doagnoses (burn-out, stress related concerns, etc.). Moreover, I also provide surgical readiness evaluations for spinal cord stimulators (SCS and DRG) and transplant (lung, heart, liver, kidney, and stemcell) patients for both donors and recipients.
