Dr. Monica Saavedra is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who incorporates a Humanistic-Existential approach to working with clients. She has experience working with individuals and couples across the lifespan utilizing various modalities including traditional talk therapy and experiential therapy modalities such as Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy. Dr. Saavedra believes that a collaborative approach to therapy, where the client and therapist work together to understand patterns and effect change, is incredibly beneficial. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, Dr. Saavedra values understanding each person’s cultural identity and experiences. Dr. Saavedra believes that each person has unique experiences, thoughts, and behaviors that all deserve respect. It is through the therapeutic relationship that a foundation for change can be built. Dr. Saavedra enjoys working with individuals and couples to identify personal strengths, self-awareness and meaning in order to transform pain and encourage personal growth.
