Kamila has worked and trained in a variety of settings including social service agencies, private practice, community mental health clinic and a university counseling center. She has provided counseling services to a wide range of people of different ages and life stages, races, ethnicities, religions, socio-economic status, including those for whom English was a non-native language. Kamila helps clients with their concerns related to low self-esteem, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, trauma, romantic and family relationships issues, career counseling, anger management, substance abuse, domestic violence, and partner violence issues.
Kamila believes that true healing happens in a therapeutic relationship with a client that is based in trust, authenticity, unconditional acceptance, empathy, and gentle guidance. Her clinical work is informed by the person-centered and psychodynamic approaches enriched by a multicultural lens. Kamila also received training in the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) program and is passionate about incorporating the mind-body work into therapy. Kamila not only strives to help her clients feel better but also wants to help them connect to who they really are: their true, authentic and unique self.
