Erica Schulz, Psy.D., NCC, CADC
Clinical Psychologist, Crystal Lake and Schaumburg Locations, Extension 334
Dr. Erica Schulz is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Her experience includes work in behavioral health hospitals, residential programs including substance abuse treatment programs, and outpatient settings including an adoption preservation program. She recieved her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and concentrated in Alderian Psychotherapy, which informs her work. Dr. Schulz finds importance in understanding individuals from their own perceptions and in the way individuals relate to others. Her approach is strength-based, encouraging the use of the multiple strengths each person possesses. This approach is helpful when working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, body image, and addiction. Dr. Schulz is also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and uses the principles of Positive Discipline when working with children, adolescents, and families. This approach helps parents identify the motivation behind their child's behavior, helps the child or adolescent feel heard and understood, and helps improve the parent's relationship with their child.
Dr. Schulz is in network with Aetna, BCBS, and United Healthcare/Optum/United Behavioral Health.
