Donna has worked as a licensed clinical social worker for more than 20 years. She has provided therapy in a community mental health office and at a VA clinic, and has served as clinical director of a domestic violence resource agency, providing crisis intervention, clinical assessment, individual and group psychotherapy, and advocacy. She has helped individuals cope with issues such as trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, impulse control and anger management. She enajoys supporting individuals as they wrestle with developmental transitions and challenges associated with aging, resolving past trauma, and coping with grief & loss. Using a positive, holistic perspective, Donna is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental, taking a very down-to-earth approach. She works with people to identify where they are, where they want to be, and how to get from here to there. She offers individual psychotherapy for older adolescents and adults of all ages in a safe and supportive environment in which to explore thoughts and feelings, helping clients as they make changes to improve their quality of life. She focuses on client strengths and enjoys integrating principles from a variety of treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and existential therapy.
