Barbara Howard is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, in individual, couple and family sessions, as well as in group sessions. Barb has worked with a diverse population and has helped people of all ages struggling with a variety of issues including stress and anxiety, AD/HD, loss and grief, depression, bipolar, trauma, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, self-injury, parenting, and relational issues.
Barb is experienced with multiple models of talk therapy and experimental therapies such as play and sand tray therapy. She specializes in providing a warm, genuine, direct approach and creating a safe space so that it is easier for people to be open and honest about the issues that have brought them to counseling. Barb has great respect for the courage it takes to seek out counseling help and to develop trust in a therapist.
