Julie Nilsen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She has had the opportunity to work in many different settings including community mental health, outpatient, and schools. Julie strives to create a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients feel understood and comfortable exploring issues, while cultivating self-awareness to create positive change in their lives. Based on the needs of the individual, Julie uses a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapies to help the client achieve their goals.
Julie has extensive experience working with those dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relational issues, and major life transitions. Julie is energetic, relational, collaborative, and draws off of each individual's strengths. She finds joy in watching individuals discover a path to positive change.
